Dr. Henry L. & Co-Pastor Verlene Morgan
The anointed and appointed Apostle H. L. Morgan was born in Griffin, Georgia to Mrs. Ethel Morgan and the late Mr. John H. Morgan. He is the eldest of eight children. Apostle Morgan and First Lady Verlene (Bussey) Morgan have walked together in holy matrimony since 1972. They are the proud parents of one son, Dwayne Morgan.
God’s call on his life to preach was fulfilled in 1982. He served in the ministry at Woodbury Miracle Fellowship Center, Woodbury, Georgia until the Lord led him to pastor. In June 1992, he obeyed God’s call to begin a new ministry “Tabernacle of Joy Miracle and Deliverance Center” in Griffin, Georgia. God moved in a mighty way and souls were added to the ministry. Evangelist Verlene Morgan accepted the Lord into her life at the early age of 12, and because of her sincere education and earnest prayer life as a youth, she became noted as a prophetess at a young age. God dealt with her with dreams and visions. On July 19, 1997, she accepted the call by God to preach and carry His Gospel. In October 2000, God’s visionary Apostle Morgan was led to ordain and appoint to the ministry a Co-Pastor. Appointed to this position is “God’s Leading Lady” Evangelist Verlene Morgan.
In 2002, Apostle Morgan was honored with the 2002 CHOSEN AWARD presented by The Atlanta Gospel Choice. The Chosen Award is given to Atlanta’s men and women of God who through their life and ministry are making a difference in our community.
In 2011, Dr. H.L. Morgan wrote his is first book, “Bitterness a Destroyer of Destiny”, published by Tate Publishing, and located in a bookstore near you.
The ministry of Tabernacle of Joy Miracle Deliverance Center is prosperous. Many souls are being added to the Kingdom of God and the church. Souls are being saved and delivered as God’s word goes forth with the Anointing and Power of Jesus Christ.
Assistant Pastor Jeffery & Teresa Graddick
Elder Jeffery Graddick, a native of Thomaston, Georgia accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Tabernacle of Joy Miracle Deliverance Center in 1994. He and his wife, Teresa Pennyman Graddick, presently reside in Griffin, Georgia.
Elder Graddick is a 1982 graduate of Upson High School. He served in the U.S. Army and the Georgia National Guard a total of six years. During his tenure, he received many honors. He accepted the call of God on his life in December 1997, and was ordained to preach the gospel on October 7, 1998. He serves in many capacities of the ministry. With proven faithfulness and dedication to the ministry, he was installed as the assistant pastor on May 8, 2011. As the assistant pastor of the ministry, Elder Graddick’s goal is to assist his pastor in taking the ministry to the next level in God.
Teresa Graddick, a native of Thomaston, Georgia accepted Christ into her life at an early age. In 1994, she joined Tabernacle of Joy Miracle Deliverance Center. She presently serves as a praise and worship leader and choir director. She’s not ashamed to let the world know that her worship is real. She is a 1985 graduate of Upson Comprehensive High School and a 2003 graduate of Griffin Technical College, with a diploma in Cosmetology. She and her husband are the proud parents of two children, Sherard and Lakeshia Graddick. Her goal is to set an atmosphere of worship, so that the Tabernacle may be full of joy, miracles, and deliverance.
Elder Reginald & Crystal Bankston
Elder Reginald Bankston is a native of Thomaston, Georgia. He and his wife, Chrystal Denise Bankston, have been married for fifteen
years. The Bankston’s are blessed with two wonderful children Victor Lee Vandergriff Jr. and Destiny Christina Bankston.
Elder Bankston graduated from R. E. Lee High school in 1985. In
1997, he earned his CDL licenses. As a truck driver, with Waste Industries, he received awards for Customer Compliments, Excellent Performance on Routes, and Outstanding Service. In 1990, Elder Bankston received the call to ministry. In January of 2000, he was ordained to preach the gospel, by Dr. H. L. Morgan. Elder Bankston would later be ordained again by Pastor Bishop Donoval Miller, as in Elder in 2003. Being a teacher of the Gospel is his biggest accomplishment. Elder Bankston’s passion is that “You Get It!”
“Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.” (Psalms 119:67). “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.” (Psalms 119: 71). These are the scriptures that brought her through many obstacles in her Christian walk and changed her life forever.
Chrystal Denise Bankston has been a member of Tabernacle of Joy M.D.C. since 1992. She is the wife of Elder Reginald Bankston. She is the mother of two beautiful children, Victor Lee Vandergriff Jr. and Destiny Christina Bankston.
Chrystal has served as the Head of the Ministry of Nursing for numerous years. She is an Assistant to Co-Pastor Morgan on the decorating committee. She is also a Youth Leader and Sunday School Teacher.

Elder Bessie Ellis
Evangelist Bessie Ellis is a native of Griffin, Georgia. She not only is an evangelist of the Gospel, but she is the mother of four children. Evangelist Ellis gave her life to the Lord in September 1972.
On June 10, 1994, Evangelist Ellis was ordained as a licensed evangelist under the leadership of Dr. H. L. Morgan and Co-Pastor Verlene Morgan. Dr. Morgan motivated his ministerial staff to seek a higher level of education by returning back to school and obtaining a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies, as well as, a Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies. This inspiration and motivation caused Evangelist Ellis to earn her GED at the age of sixty-three, as well as, an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies.
A scripture that this evangelist lives by is I Peter 4: 12-13.
Elder Donald & LaMonica Hamilton
Elder Donald Hamilton, a native of Detroit, Michigan resides in Thomaston, GA with his wife of 19 years, La’Monica. The couple parents two adult children; Ke’Andra and Da’Torius.They have one grandchild, La’Keadon. In the luxury of having spare time, the couple enjoys bowling, trivial games/ entertainment and spending quality time with their family.
Donald served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman from1985 – 1987 and from 1991-1993. After graduating from Upson High School in Thomaston, Georgia in 1986, he briefly attended Savannah State College. While enlisting in the United States Marine Corp in 1987, he also attended Coastal Carolina University in 1988- 1989. He faithfully served the United States of America in Operation Desert Storm. In 1993, after honorable completion of his tour of duty, Donald attended truck driving school before beginning his 19 year career and eventual entrepreneurship as an Owner/ Operator of Trinity 3 Trucking, Inc. After retiring from truck driving, Donald began his education in conductor school, where he graduated at the top of his
class, in pursuit of his current career as a Conductor for CSX Railway Systems. In 2008 Donald earned his associate degree in Theology, graduating from North Carolina College of Theology, donning a 4.0 GPA.
La’Monica, a 1988 graduate of Upson High School, began her career in printing at Quad/Graphics, Inc. in 1989. During her 22 year career, she has served as Employee Advocate, Travel and Hospitality Coordinator, and currently leads the Quality Service Department. La’Monica earned her Certified Manufacturing Specialist diploma in 2003 and Georgia Work Ready-Gold certification in 2007 from Southern Crescent Technical College. She has earned several other leadership and soft-skill certifications from Quad/ Education in partnership with Southern Crescent Technical College. She is actively enrolled at Strayer University, where she is studying to achieve her bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Management.
During Donald’s visit to Tabernacle of Joy M.D.C. for an Easter program in March of 1997, Co-Pastor Verlene Morgan preached a sermon titled “Don’t Be Entangled in the Yoke of Bondage Again.” This message pierced Donald’s heart, and on this day, led by Co-Pastor Morgan, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and later joined the ministry. Mentored by Pastor, Henry Morgan, Donald became active in the usher ministry. Within one year, he began serving as a Sunday school teacher for pre-teen students. God continued to mold Donald before calling him to preach the Gospel, for which he was ordained on December 23, 2001. Though he is encompassed by the Word of God, Elder Hamilton’s favorite scripture is I John 4:4, which reads: “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.”
La’Monica’s journey to salvation came after several visits to Tabernacle of Joy M.D.C. Having a background of another faith, she was apprehensive about what she was experiencing in the ministry. As she continued to visit, learn and apply God’s Word, God led her to salvation and to join the ministry in April of 1999. La’Monica became an active member serving on the nurse’s guild, in the armor bearer ministry, as a co-teacher with her husband for the pre-teen Sunday school students, and on the travel committee. Though she enjoys a plethora of favorite scriptures, one of her most encouraging scriptures is Galatians 6:9, which reads “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Elder M. V. Ransom
Born to a Pentecostal father and mother, Elder M. V. Ransom was destined to be someone great in God’s kingdom. Elder Ransom’s father is an elder and his mother is a powerful prayer warrior. These two dynamic people in the gospel enabled Elder Ransom to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at the young age of 15. He acknowledged his call to the ministry at the age of 18. Elder Ransom was licensed to preach in January of 2009. Since the initial licensing in 2009, he was elevated to the office of eldership. Currently, Elder Ransom holds the office of Youth Pastor of tabernacle of Joy MDC. Elder Ransom is a young man that has dedicated his life to preaching and teaching the unadulterated WORD OF GOD across the globe.
Elder M.V. Ransom currently resides in Austell, Georgia. He is a high school graduate from the Cobb County School System and a recent graduate from Chattahoochee Technical College. Elder Ransom obtained his diploma in Criminal Justice and is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice at Georgia State University, where he is a member of the Pi Alpha Chapter of The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated. Elder Ransom is blessed to serve under the leadership of America’s best kept secret, Dr. Apostle H.L. Morgan. Dr. Morgan is the founder of Tabernacle of Joy Miracle Deliverance Center located in Griffin, GA. Elder Ransom is the youngest ordained elder in this ministry, and was inducted into the Academy of Preachers in January 2011. Elder Ransom’s wants God’s people to know, when you are down and don’t know what to do, read Psalms 121:1. He promises it will encourage you.
Elder Tracy Blasinglame
Evangelist Tracy Blasingame lives in Thomaston, Georgia. Tracy was married for 9 years. She has one daughter, Jordan Nicole Blasingame. Tracy attended Upson High School and graduated in 1988. She also attended Central Georgia Technical College in Macon, Georgia for several years where she attained her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. Some achievements that she has obtained are: a diploma in Accounting, Business Office Technology, and Cosmetology. Evangelist Blasingame is a licensed Master Cosmetologist. At this time, she is an on-line student with Ashford University majoring in Business Administration.
She received Christ at the age of 15, in 1985. Evangelist Blasingame has been with the ministry since 1993. She answered the call to preaching in December 2010. She is also very active in the ministry.
One of her favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11.
Evangelist Amy Miller
Evangelist Amy B. Miller, a native of Griffin, Georgia, has been a member of the Tabernacle of Joy Miracle Deliverance Center for 20 years. In 2013, Evangelist Miller received the call to ministry and Dr. H.L. Morgan licensed her to preach the gospel on December 29, 2013. Evangelist Miller currently serves as a youth Sunday school teacher, head of the TOJMDC Virtuous Daughters of Promise, girl’s ministry, choir member, and a member of Dr. H. L. Morgan’s Ministry.
Evangelist Miller resides in Lithonia, Georgia and she has been married to Thomas L. Miller, Sr., of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the mother of four children, Jamaal, Tylar, Arymis, and Jordan. Evangelist Miller enjoys traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, board games, interior designing, and helping others.
Evangelist Miller graduated from Griffin High School in 1988. She also received her diploma in cosmetology from Griffin Technical College in 1998. In 2010, Evangelist Miller received her Associate’s Degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix. She plans to continue her education in pursuit of her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science.
Evangelist Miller’s greatest achievement is preaching gospel and she is focused on the mandate the Lord has placed upon her life. Evangelist Miller considers it an honor to be chosen by God and she does not take the call to minister to God’s people for granted.
Evangelist Miller’s favorite scripture is 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”.
